The Rabbit Who Wanted to Marry a Crone

A rabbit leapt from the mouth of a river and accosted a crone. The crone had been walking along the trail dancing. And the rabbit said, "Your dancing lacks a smell just like the moon, it seems to me. Will you marry me?"

The crone laughed and said, "I'm too old for marriage, no? Go! Go back to the river! This is my answer!"

And the rabbit said, "Don't you know my name?"

The crone laughed and said, "Do I know it?! Of course not! Get lost, and then tell it to me!"

The rabbit turned towards the river and said to the crone, "And your answer is...?"

And then she said, "I will tell you my answer." And the crone turned into a wolf and tore the flesh off the throat of the rabbit with her teeth, but the rabbit said, "And your answer is...?"

The crone said, "Am I not loud enough?!"

The crone cut out the rabbit's heart, but the rabbit said, "And your answer is...?"

The crone cut out the rabbit's lungs, but the rabbit said, "And your answer is...?"

The crone cut out the rabbit's stomach, but the rabbit said, "And your answer is...?"

The crone cut out the rabbit's liver, but the rabbit said, "And your answer is...?"

And then the crone said, "So I'm not loud enough!" And then she cut the head from the rabbit and threw it into the river.

And then, from the depths of the river, the words were heard: "And your answer is...?"
