Below you'll find a table of all the glyphs used for bisyllabic words in Kamakawi. On the left and right sides are a list of the first syllables of a given word, and on the top and bottom are a list of the second syllables. So, if you find the cell that corresponds to hi on the left, and la on the bottom, you'll get the word hila (not la'i). When you mouse over a given cell, it will tell you what word is formed, so finding your way around the table shouldn't be a problem. Do note that when you see a word, it will list intervocalic f as f and not v, and intervocalic h as h and not '. You can make the necessary phonological change in your head.
Regarding the table itself, you'll notice that there are cells with glyphs, and various cells with colored backgrounds. Here's what the colored backgrounds mean:
There are instances where a single cell could have more than one color due to, for example, homophony. These differences will be noted in the glossary. If you click on any entry in the table below, it will take you to the corresponding glossary entry in a separate window.
