So I’m looking at the iku for ane, and…I’ve got no clue what I was thinking. There appears to be an hour in there, but it looks like it’s pointing down… It almost looks like it’s built off the iku for keva, “shark”, but the shape isn’t quite the same, and it wouldn’t make any sense, anyway (sharks are silent). It’s definitely an ikunima’u.

hmm…the Top Predator status of both lions and sharks? or the silence both employ when approaching their prey? or the noise from a shark jumping out of the water and back in?
or, its the sound version of what I read happen in some Noun Classes: something might be too dangerous to be classed with other dangerous things, so it is grouped with the harmless things.
