Glyph of the word 'temi'.

  • (n.) bone (the substance)

A potu temi.
“Bone is thick.”

Notes: Temi is a mass noun, and when used in this way, can only be interpreted as a mass noun. So you can’t use temi to refer to a particular bone. To do that, you need to use another construction (which I’ll say more about tomorrow!).

If I may hazard a guess, I wonder if the refering to a particular bone might be (off the cuff), _temi fe_ = _bone six_.

or is _temi_ not involved in it at all?

I didn’t mean “particular” in that way, actually. More of a how to make a count noun from a mass noun. You’ll see tomorrow!
