No, this isn’t a syllable, and it’s not part of the syllabary. It’s one of the many VV sequence glyphs of Kamakawi. Some of them have meanings; some don’t. I’ve decided not to include them as part of the syllabary (the Kavaka i Oala), though. The reasons are many, but starting today, I’m going to get back to doing plain old words for the Kamakawi Word of the Day.

This iku shows the inside of the box-like shape that’s used in many glyphs. In that way, it’s an ikuiku. With this one, the determined version is only used when necessary (not too often).
